Billy Harrison
Billy Harrison, singer and musician, from Nunburnholme, near Pocklington in Yorkshire.
Billy was born in Black Row Cottages, Nunburnholme on 15th July, 1898. He played fiddle, cello, mouth organ, melodeon and tuba. He was also a keen and accomplished singer. His repertoire included country dance tunes and Christmas carols, often with harmony parts. He was visited on collecting visits by Jim Eldon, who became a firm friend. His autobiography 'Bill's Book', was published by Pete Halkon in 1990.
He died in August 1986.
