According to my informant Hugh Taylor, Henry Stables was (briefly) :-
“A pupil of W.Irwin. He died in1906.
Mannex Directory 1849 – shoemaker, in Great and Little Langdale.
Mannex & Co Directory 1851 – Ditto.
Post Office Directory for Durham plus N’umberland, Cumberland, Westmoreland 1873 – Farmer, Low Hacket, Little Langdale
Westmoreland Gazette Directory 1930 – Elizabeth Stables, Chapel Stile – only reference in the area to a Stables.”

According to my informant Hugh Taylor, Henry Stables was (briefly) :-
