The Browne Family papers are now deposited in the Armitt Library in Ambleside, Cumbria.

Ignored on the Armitt's own website, the collection contains four tune books, one of which has been attributed to dancing master James Lishman.

Local musicians and researchers have taken an interest in the books and many of the tunes have been reintroduced to the English session repertoire.

The Village Music Project has published the tunes in abc format here
