Born and raised near Bridgwater, Somerset. Uni:Canterbury, Lived Earlsfield SW19, Stroud, Cheltenham, Gloucester. Now in Wellington, Shropshire. Music: boy soloist and chorister, Bridgwater Youth Orchestra, Folk clubs and rock'n'roll gigs. Fell in love with the Morris in Gloucestershire. Musical education began there. Played fiddle with many bands, the best being the Old Swan Band. I learned abc notation early and am concerned to use it to keep the old music alive - translating old hand-written tune books into abc. 73 on Boxing Day 2020.
