I am a fiddle player / violinist whose home is in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Until 4 September 2019, I am living in Aberdeen, Scotland, where I am studying for an MLitt degree in Ethnomusicology and Folklore at the Elphinstone Institute, University of Aberdeen. I am a music teacher, dance musician, and fiddle player for English country dance, Scottish country dance, and contra dance. My musical education was classical, but since 1990, I have been immersed in folk music and dance traditions. I play in several bands, including The Elftones and Copious Notes, and play often in ensembles with many other dance musicians.
