John "Happy Jack" Walton, singer from Adderbury, North Oxfordshire, 1832-1921.

Brother of William "Binx" Walton. As well known a singer in the village as his brother, but tended to prefer Victorian parlour songs to traditional material, and consequently ignored by the early collectors.

Worked as a stonemason, but also in partnership with William as a jobbing builder.
