Many folk songs are comic, arising from many subjects, and some songs are just whimsical fantasies. Songs about legendary animals such as Froggy went a courtin, The Derby Ram, and The Herrin's Head fall into this category, as do Tom Pearce and Rothesay-O. We could also include sports and pastimes like Heenan and Sayers, The Cock Fight, or The Rigs of the Fair.
