[A. L. Lloyd|A.L.Lloyd's] "Folk Song In England" is both scholarly and entertaining. It does lack decent references so sometimes the academic reader can get frustrated, though the bibliography is very full. One of Lloyd's great strengths, reflected in this book is the weight given to industrial songs. (Roman letters in the original).
