Clarke Lonkhurst, singer, Hamstreet, Kent. Landlord of the Duke's Head at Hamstreet, who also worked as a carrier. He was a keen sportsman - football, cricket, and as a member of the Mid-Kent Stag Hunt.

In the 1901 Census he is listed as Clarke Longhurst, age 37, born at Dunkirk near Faversham.

Sang The Nobleman and Thresherman (Roud 19) for Cecil Sharp, 23 Sep 1908. Sharp noted his name as Clarke Lankhurst.
