	~~According to Sharp's notes, Mr Benstead was 68. Although there are plenty of Bensteads listed in the 1901 census in the Warehorne/Hamstreet area, a George Benstead of the right age~~ has ~~not been found. There was a George Bensted (sic) born at Orlestone in 1843, but he appears to have left~~ the ~~area;~~ George ~~Frampton has suggested that the most likely candidate is William~~ Benstead ~~(born c1833)~~, ~~of Tinlon Farm~~, ~~Warehorne~~.
